The class will conclude by covering techniques to help photographers create images with a more three-dimensional look and feel.
Session 3: Shutter Speed and the Art of Capturing Time The third class will explore the role of the shutter and how controlling it allows photographers to effectively capture action and movement-an essential skill for wildlife and sports photography. On the compositional side, the class will cover the rule of thirds along with other techniques for creating visually balanced and engaging images.
Session 4: The Magic of Ambient Light in Photography
The fourth class will explore the powerful impact of ambient light in photography and how to use optimal camera settings to capture it effectively. On the technical side, special attention will be given to the ISO and white balance. The class will conclude with a discussion on the use of ND filters, circular polarizers, and techniques for photographing the northern lights.
Session 5: Introduced Light and Advanced Topics
The final class will cover the use of introduced light-particularly flash-and bring together all the concepts learned throughout the course, culminating in the use of the camera's manual setting. The class will also briefly explore the art of capturing people, relationships, and travel photography.
