Class Structure and Content

 


Session 1: Composition in Focus - How to Create Striking Photos. This introductory class will explore the aesthetic principles behind taking great photographs. On the technical side,
it will cover fundamental camera functions, including
focusing, burst rates, and achieving proper exposure.

Session 2: Sculpting with Light - The Power of the Aperture The second class will focus on the role of aperture in crafting compelling photographs. It will also explore the purpose and function of lenses, and how they enhance image quality and impact. The class will conclude by covering techniques to help photographers create images with a more three-dimensional look and feel.

Session 3: Shutter Speed and the Art of Capturing Time
The third class will explore the role of the shutter and how controlling it allows photographers to effectively capture action and movement-an essential skill for wildlife and sports photography. On the compositional side, the class will cover traming, layering ana other techniques tor creating visually appealing and engaging images.

Session 4: The Magic of Ambient Light in Photography
The fourth class will explore the powerful impact of ambient light in photography and how to use optimal camera settings to capture it effectively. On the technical side, special attention will be given to the ISO and white balance.

Session 5: Introduced Light and Advanced Topics
The final class will focus on using introduced light-particularly flash-and will explore the various modes and advanced features that help create visually striking and dynamic images.
This session will also bring together all the concepts learned throughout the course, allowing students to integrate their skills into a comprehensive lighting approach.
