Designed to suit the diverse needs of today's content creators, the Rode VideoMic GO II-H is a portable, ultralightweight on-camera shotgun microphone that makes capturing broadcast-quality audio effortless for podcasting, gaming, livestreaming, video calls, and on-the-go interviews. With both analog 3.5mm TRS and digital USB-C outputs, it's versatile for use with cameras, iOS/Android smartphones/tablets, and macOS/Windows computers. Advanced tech like the Annular line tube technology provides a highly directional, crisp sound, ideal for a wide range of content-creation applications. The included foam windshield ensures clear recordings minus the wind noise, while the innovative Helix isolation shockmount silences bumps and shakes.
Acoustic Design and Highly Directional Pickup Pattern
  • The VideoMic GO II-H features the same annular line tube technology as the popular VideoMic NTG and NTG5 professional shotgun microphones. This innovative acoustic design gives the VideoMic GO II-H a very rich, full-bodied sound that instantly improves the audio of your camera, smartphone, tablet, or computer (additional cables required).
  • The mic's supercardioid pickup pattern is highly directional, meaning that it clearly picks up sound from in front of the mic, while sounds to the side and rear are reduced.
  • It can also pick up sounds that are further away from the microphone while still retaining presence and clarity.
Small but Mighty
  • Weighing in at just 2.1 oz, the VideoMic GO II-H is compact and lightweight enough to take with you wherever you go.
  • Perfect for use with compact cameras, mobile recording rigs, or on a desktop as a USB microphone for capturing high-quality audio anywhere.
As Simple as Plug-and-Go
  • The VideoMic GO II-H has no complicated controls or switches and requires no batteries to operate, so you can get recording in seconds.
  • It connects seamlessly to cameras, computers, smartphones, and tablets, giving you instant high-quality audio with ease—just pick it up, plug it in, and go.
  • No batteries are needed for the VideoMic GO II-H. It runs on plug-in power through the TRS connection to your camera, or it can be bus powered via USB.
Using the VideoMic GO II-H with a Camera
  • When being used with a camera, the VideoMic GO II-H is designed to be a simple plug-and-go microphone with no controls or switches, ensuring minimal fuss. You can use the manual gain control on your camera to adjust the input level if required.
  • Use the supplied Helix isolation shockmount to attach the VideoMic GO II-H to your camera’s cold shoe and the included SC14 3.5mm TRS patch cable to plug it in.
Using the VideoMic GO II-H with a Smartphone or Tablet
  • The VideoMic GO II-H features a USB-C audio output that allows it to be connected to mac/OS/Windows computers and iOS/Android mobile devices, and be used as a fully featured USB microphone. When in USB mode, the 3.5mm TRS output can be used to connect headphones for audio monitoring and playback.
  • Additional cables are required for connecting the VideoMic GO II-H to computers and mobile devices via USB, such as the Rode SC16, SC17, or SC18 for devices with a USB-C input, or Rode SC15 or SC19 for iOS devices with a Lightning port. Note: to use the VideoMic GO II-H with an iOS device, you must use the SC15 or SC19.
  • When using the VideoMic GO II-H with a smartphone or tablet, you can access advanced features using the Rode Central app, including input level and direct monitoring control, a high-pass filter and high-frequency boost, and a -20 dB pad.
Using the VideoMic GO II with a Computer
  • When used with a computer, the VideoMic GO II-H works as a fully functional USB microphone, complete with headphone monitoring using the 3.5mm output.
  • To connect the VideoMic GO II-H to your computer, you will need a USB-C to USB-C cable like the Rode SC16 or SC17, or a USB-C to USB-A cable like the RodeSC18, depending on your computer's USB-port configuration.
  • The VideoMic GO II-H is fully compatible with the Rode Connect app, allowing you to connect up to four of the microphones to a computer, with complete control over the input level and audio processing.
Full USB Microphone Functionality
  • Plug the VideoMic GO II into your computer, smartphone, or tablet via USB to use it as a digital USB microphone for direct recording to your favorite software. Its integrated analog-to-digital converter operates at 24-bit / 48 kHz to provide full-resolution, uncompressed audio quality.
Windscreen Minimizes Wind Noise
The VideoMic GO II-H includes a foam windscreen to minimize unwanted wind noise from light breezes, fans, heaters, and air conditioners. For maximum reduction of wind noise in outdoor environments, consider a furry windshield such as the Rode WS12 (available separately).
