Tame the light with filters
Adding a filter to the front of this lens is nearly impossible due to the lens curvature, however, since balancing your exposure is so important on this lens that the RF7-14mm F2.8-3.5 L FISHEYE STM has the ability to use the same drop-in filters (Clear, CPL, V-ND) that are used with the EF-to-EOS R mount adapter so you can achieve the looks you’re looking for.

Drop-in rear filters
Since fisheye lenses can’t accept ordinary screw-in filters at the front of the lens, the RF7-14mm fisheye zoom lens offers a slot on the rear of the barrel for drop-in filters. The standard clear filter can be easily switched with an optional accessory variable neutral density (ND) filter, or a user-adjustable circular polarizing drop-in filter. Either adds to the lens’s flexibility for still or video imagery. And, they offer both durability and ability for quick filter changes. Autofocus and Auto Exposure
