Made from aircraft grade aluminium, the K-Series holder is lightweight & tough. We have adopted precision engineering to ensure the finish matches the material. Finished in a corrosion free, matt black anodising, the K-Series holder will be protected from all of the elements when shooting outdoors.
When designing the K-Series holder, we spent many hours with our ambassadors and photographers making sure we include as many features as possible, this helped us create the world’s most versatile camera filter system on the market
One of the core functions comes from our K-Series holder being able to accept magnetic framed 100 x 100mm and 150 x 100mm filters. Located towards the front of the holder is a precision engineered platform to snap on magnetic framed filters
Surrounding the front facing outer edge of the holder are 2 thin foam strips which ensure there is zero light leak when shooting long exposure images.
In order to make sure your filters do no slip, and for added piece of mind in securing the filters, one side of the guide rail has a screw which when turned, will screw into the filter frame.
If for any reason you need to remove the filter from the holder. The guided rails are marked so that when you are using graduated filters, you can mark, or make note of the position for consistency when recomposing you're shot.
Built into the top rear of the frame is a slot to fit H&Y 95mm drop-in filters. This adds a great deal of versatility when shooting if you need to include a solid Neutral Density for better overall control of the light, as well as long exposure photography. Included with the KH-100 is a 95mm drop-in Circular Polariser for help in reducing unwanted reflections and to help deepen blue skies, think of it as sunglasses for your eyes! Each filter slides and is secured into place by 2 small bearings, these bearings line-up with dimples machined into the aluminium frame on the drop-in filter.
Fitting the K-Series holder to your lens is simple. Applying the correct step ring to your lens is the 1st step. Located on the back of the holder are 2 secure knobs, once you have attached the holder to the correct step rings, you screw the knobs until they touch the holder frame which will finally secure the holder to your lens. All of our holders come with 67mm, 72mm, 77mm & 82mm step rings.
Once the holder is securely attached to your lens, you will also have the ability to rotate the holder on the filter step ring. This allows you to adjust the horizontal position of any graduated filter
What are the benefits?
Compared to conventional screw in filters, a square filter holder system offers far more in the way of control and versatility when shooting outdoors. With our K-Series holder, you have the complete freedom to quickly add and remove filters in seconds with our patented magnetic filter frame application, you can even magnetically stack filters without the need to slide them in and out of the older style of filter holders.
not only do you have the ability to work quickly with magnetic filters, you can also adjust graduation lines effortlessly by rotating the holder on its filter ring and move the filter up and down in the frame.
If the above features were not enough, you can also quickly add and remove bespoke 95mm circular drop-in filters, including Neutral Density and Circular Polarisers filters. Perfect for when you need to apply polarization to remove reflection or shoot long exposure so you can add movement to your image.
